Dear Dancing Families,
Please join us for an evening of dancing this Friday at Chang's Family
Folk Dance Night.
Our teacher extraordinaire, Michel will lead us in seasonal favorites
including the Turkey Dance, and Nut Stomp (Alunelul)
as well as Jingle Bells because it really was written for Thanksgiving.
We will get started at 7:30 after the youth orchestra has finished rehearsing
so spread the word and don't be late!
After the family portion concludes, please plan to stick around and
dance some more... the first dances are often ones we have already
learned.

Changs International Folk Dancers invite you to a special evening of Scottish and English dances at our party on Friday, October 6th.
It’s a great opportunity to dance some of our club’s Scottish and English repertoire to live music.
Changs meets at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church, 31st Ave. and Clement St $5. Please bring a snack to share. See you soon at Changs!
Dancing begins at 7:30 p.m. with recorded music. Live music provided by Patti Cobb and her StringFiretroupe begins at 8 p.m. with Changs' own original Scottish dance "The Blackstone Jig," devised by Craig Blackstone.
See below for the party dance list. Most of the selected dances have been included in recent Friday programs and are available for viewing on youtube.com. A good index can be found from the Scottish Country Dancing Dictionary. A minimum of teaching/review will allow us to enjoy doing more of the dance list.
Polka Dot
Pinewoods Two-Step
Borrowdale Exchange
St. John's River
Mairi's Wedding
Trip to Crinan
Postie's Jig
Trip to Bavaria
The Bonny Cuckoo
Braes of Dornoch
Good Man of Cambridge
