The Kids' Band was fantastic!

Truly, not that we're suprised. But they brought the house down with their performance of Setnja. They played in the middle of the dance floor and everyone danced around them, village-style. I know I am not alone in saying "Encore!!!"

Join us this Friday for a special holiday party--Family night from 7-8:30;
General dancing, Holiday party and potluck snacks from 8:30-10:30. Children from 0 to 100 welcome at both parts of the evening. : )

Sunday September 22 Changs will celebrate it's 75th anniversary at the Croatian Cultural Center in San Francisco. Featuring bands Vecernica and Da! Mozem, plus food, friends, memories and fun. Watch this space for updates about time and activities.

Family Folk Dance night is here again!

Place:
Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church at 31st and Clement

Time:
7-8:30PM on Friday June 21st

What:
Casual kid-focused easy folk dancing. No need to dress up. Wear comfortable shoes like tennis shoes or flats or sandals. One piece of advise for adults: don't wear sticky sticky soled shoes like new tennis shoes. Your knees want your foot to turn when the rest of you turns.

Cost: $5-10 per family, sliding scale.

Parking: there is street parking not too hard to find in the 2 blocks N of Clement on 31st or 30th.

Join us afterwards for a potluck dance party till 10:30 ish if you like.

St. Paddy's Day with Live Music

This Friday is our Family Night/Party Night. Vecerniza is continuing a long-held tradition (don't ask me how long) of playing for us in March to celebrate St. Paddy's Day. Aren't we lucky?! So, join us on Friday starting at 7 PM for family night and stay on when the party night starts around 8:15 PM. Not sure what to expect? Check out this video from last year! Happy dancing!

Happy Lunar New Year! 

Please join us this Friday, February 15, as we meet to dance at Chang's Family Folk Dance Night, 7-8:15 PM (and stay for party night  and potluck until 10:30ish).  

Michel, our Teacher Extraordinaire, will feature "Happy New Year", "Tokyo Dontaku", "La Bastringue" (Mardi Gras or French Canadian - you choose) as well as famous the now famous Dragon Parade! As always, we're casual. Wear red if you like!

We will again enjoy the Kafana and "kids kafana" (hang out table) for the adult party portion.
